Temple Business was originally formed by a dedicated team of engineers, who at a time when alternative energy was not considered commercially viable by the mainstream had the foresight and the determination to push ahead with their vision of a time when such methods of generation would be the norm.
Since those early days, Temple Business has established a string of alternative energy generating projects across the Mediterranean area and beyond. Although in former years, our expertise saw us involved in many diverse modes of power generation including Wind, Geothermal and Solar Thermal Electricity generation; in recent years we have concentrated solely on Photovoltaic Electricity generation as the best means to not only achieve our original vision, but to achieve best value for our shareholders.
Further to this end, since 2004, Temple business has concentrated upon projects falling under the auspices of the EU Directive on Renewable Energy Sources and especially those ratified by the Spanish Government under Spanish Royal Decree 436/2004. Under this Decree, energy generators are guaranteed a return of 575% over and above the National Wholesale Power Rate from the National Power Distributors. This rate is assured for a period of 25 years and thereafter, generators are guaranteed a rate of 476%. These returns are underwritten in their entirety by the EU.
All projects undertaken by Temple Business are established as an open ended distribution fund whose sole purpose is to disburse its net annual generation income to its owners (the company’s shareholders). The company’s owners are thus assured of a guaranteed and fully underwritten perpetual return, which for many forms a valuable part of their annual income.
Importantly for Temple Business and its owners, a notable number of whom are ‘Ethical Investors’, the company’s profits and thus their income, is generated cleanly, ethically, and with minimum impact on the environment…in keeping with the original founding ideals of the company.
